The core functionality of the SWAN UI5 Reporter is to send a snapshot of a dialog in an error case. Whenever you as a user cannot use a UI5 dialog the way you should or normally do, press the button and all information is freezed and you can add your description to this. No need to leave your workstation and go talk to your supervisor. Service desk and developers have all the information they need if the report is sent.
A button is provided by the SWAN UI5 Reporter in the header at the top right of the Fiori Launchpad. This button can be pressed at any time when the user is in any UI5 dialog. The only exception is when a popup is open in the foreground.

The „Report a Problem“ dialog then opens, see the following illustration. This allows the user to optionally provide additional information in the form of text and images. Upon confirmation all collected data is sent from the reporting tool to the SAP system for evaluation. Further processing depends on the implemented customizations or extensions; for more details, see Extensibility.
Note: The dialog can also be accessed via error messages. If popups appear in dialogs due to errors, the button in the previous illustration is not accessible. For this reason, there is a „Report Issue“ button available in error messages.

The process can be closed at any time in the dialog by simply clicking the „Cancel“ button.
